The trouble is the local beers here are 970ml (and only AU$2 at the supermercado, YES!), but don’t fit in my cooler…the free Malbec from Say Hueque as a welcome gift did fit…except it doesn’t need a cooler. Surely somewhere along the trail I’ll find a beer of a size that fits in my cooler, and doesn’t make me look like a shocking alcoholic!
I think so long as the cooler makes an appearance every now and again it’ll be fine… Have you considered the ‘Where’s Wally’ option? Just slipping it into the background somewhat obscured from time to time? Heheh….

Actually, shot glasses are proving hard to come by. The drink of choice here is yerba mate tea. It comes in a little pot that sometimes looks like a tiny witch’s cauldron on its metal stand. You sip through a metal straw with a strainer on the end to stop the herbal concoction from making it to your mouth. They add hot water to it from a thermos all day and share it around anyone who wants some. Very communal and social and also quite smokey and bitter. I think a little mate tea cauldron will look cool next to your shot glasses 😉
